Rachel – Owner / Chair
Hey there! I’m Rachel, the founder of Fables & Flames Romantasy Gala, where we specialize in turning ordinary moments into unforgettable experiences. I’ve always been passionate about bringing people together, so creating immersive, community-centered events around the Twin Cities felt like the perfect adventure!

When I’m not knee-deep in event planning, you can find me curled up with a hot cup of tea (Tea Source’s Minnesota N’ice is my personal favorite!), living my best life in The Sims, or hanging out with my real-life sidekick—my cat, Lady Grey. Whether it’s planning the next big bash or just catching up with friends and family, I’m all about creating connections that last. Let’s make some magic together! ✨

Michelle – Vice Chair

Greetings! I’m Michelle, the vice chair of Fables & Flames. I started my romance passion on The Night of the Seventh Moon (Victoria Holt) while still a tweenager. I’ve wanted a local romance convention in Minneapolis for so long. I’m thrilled to be part of the team making it happen.

I have over 30 years of experience running and working on SciFi and Anime conventions ranging from less than 100 to over 7000. Besides convention running I also do theatre costuming and cosplay, make crafts to sell at craft fairs, and plan cool outings for my family and friends.

Sydni – Vice Chair

Hi! I’m Sydni, Vice Chair and resident Chaos Coordinator of Fables & Flames—which is a fancy way of saying I willingly juggle spreadsheets, glitter, power tools, and last-minute surprises so you don’t have to.

I’m the person who looks at an empty ballroom and thinks, “You know what this needs? More dragons.” If there’s a ridiculous idea that somehow becomes reality, there’s a pretty good chance I had something to do with it.

By day, I travel the country helping hotels and resorts untangle their own brand of organized chaos. By passion, I help create a weekend where readers, authors, artists, and fantasy lovers can step into another world and forget about reality for a little while.

When I’m not plotting convention magic, you’ll probably find me crafting something unnecessarily ambitious, wandering a Renaissance festival, hiking, or convincing myself that one more limited edition is a perfectly reasonable life choice.

If you see me running by with a walkie-talkie, a coffee, and approximately 47 things on my to-do list, feel free to say hi! I promise I don’t bite… much!
