David “D. L.” Jennings is a fourteen-year veteran of the United States Air Force and Air Force Special Operations Command. He deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and several countries in Africa, creating his debut novel, Gift of the Shaper, during his ninth combat tour. Since completing his service in 2018, he spends his time reading and writing epic fantasy, traveling, listening to ’90s punk, and bemoaning being an Ohio sports fan.

He is the author of the award-winning fantasy HIGHGLADE Series, including Gift of the Shaper, Awaken the Three, and Days of the Dark.
